For the Infrastructure study department, we are currently looking for an engineer to join the team responsible for the determination of energy transport capacity, and the carrying out of network development studies. The IS department coordinates the yearly release of Nationals’ ten-year network development plan. Main activities will reside in contributing to the grid studies and transport capacity analyses.
What your tasks will be.
- We are looking for an engineer who, besides showing a genuine interest in the energy sector, has the necessary analytical skills and mindset to develop a good understanding and mastery of hydraulic simulation tools and methodologies. A learning trajectory will be foreseen.
- Carrying out of network simulations.
- Assessment of local grid elements adequacy.
- Assessment of global network reinforcement needs.
- Analysis of entry/exit transport scenarios.
- Maintenance of the simulation tools.
Your profile.
- Civil or industrial mechanical or electromechanical engineer.
- At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering study/modelling environment.
- Analytical skills, Intellectual rigor and creativity.
- Good written English reporting skills.
- A good knowledge of Dutch and / or French will be considered an asset.
- You are a Team player.
